Resources
Resources (formerly called Magic Links) are hosted signup pages that trade a guide, template, or lesson for an email. How to create one, the Form and Thank you steps, fields, tags, and email confirmation, the follow-up email and its Sends log, Published vs. Unlisted vs. Draft, the Hub's Resources section, automations, analytics, and tracking pixels.
What is a resource?
A resource is a branded page with one job: hand over something useful — a free guide, a template, a checklist, the first lesson of a course — in exchange for an email address. Each one lives at its own link on your site, so you can share it anywhere a form can't go: an Instagram bio, a YouTube description, a pinned post, a WhatsApp group.
Resources were called Magic Links before. Everything you built under the old name is still here, and links you've already shared keep working — an old /magic/… address redirects to the resource's page.
Resources are available on every plan. They have their own single-purpose editor, separate from the landing page builder.
Creating a resource
Start a new resource
Open Library, click Create, and choose Resource. Your existing resources are under the Library's Resources filter.
Build the Form step
Click into the card to write the headline and description, label the button, and add a cover image. Use the Collect panel beside the card to choose fields, tags, and email confirmation.
Build the Thank you step
Click Next. Write what people see after they sign up, then use the After signup panel to choose where the button sends them and, if you like, a post to email them.
Publish
Click Publish resource, check the link, choose Published or Unlisted, and confirm. A Your resource is live dialog shows the link, with View page and Copy link.
A new resource is saved when you publish it — the first screen has no separate draft save. Finish both steps before you leave the editor, or you'll lose what you've written.
The editor
The editor is a live preview of your resource page, edited in place, in your workspace's fonts, accent color, and text direction. The top bar carries a two-step stepper — Form, then Thank you — and one commit button at the end of it.
A step gets a check once it has its own content. Form needs a headline. Thank you needs your own message plus a way to deliver what you promised: a destination for the button, or a post to email.
Form step
| Part | Details |
|---|---|
| Cover image | Optional. Add image opens the same image picker used across Nashra: upload a file (under 5 MB), search stock photos, or paste an image link. Every image is cropped to 4:3. Hover the image to Replace or remove it. |
| Headline | Required, up to 120 characters. |
| Description | Optional, up to 240 characters. |
| Button | Up to 50 characters. Defaults to "Subscribe" in your workspace's language. |
Your workspace logo and name sit at the top of the card, just as they do on the published page.
Collect panel
The + button beside the form opens the Collect panel. It's open by default.
- Fields — Email is always collected and can't be removed. Add first name, last name, WhatsApp number, or any custom field from Audience → Fields. Name fields always come first on the form, then email, then everything else — drag those to reorder them. Every field gets its own line on the published page.
- Tag subscribers — Tags applied to everyone who signs up through this resource.
- Require email confirmation — Sends new subscribers a confirmation link before they join your list. See Email confirmation.
The WhatsApp number field is always optional and reads "Your WhatsApp number (optional)" on the page. Numbers are saved in international format on the subscriber's profile.
A custom field you've marked required is only enforced when you add it to this form, where it shows an asterisk. Fields you leave off never block a signup.
Thank you step
This is the screen every subscriber sees right after they sign up.
| Part | Details |
|---|---|
| Message | Up to 120 characters. Leave it empty and the page shows "Check your inbox in a few seconds." |
| Button | Up to 50 characters. Leave it empty and it reads "Browse posts". |
After signup panel
The link button beside the Thank you card opens After signup — everything that happens once someone subscribes:
- Destination URL — Where the thank-you button goes. Paste any link, or start typing to search your own posts, landing pages, resources, and Hub. Leave it empty to send people to your Hub.
- Also email them a post — Optional. Pick a post and it's emailed to each new subscriber. Drafts count too, marked (Draft). The post isn't published or sent to the rest of your list. View post opens it; Change picks another.
- Sends — Appears once people have signed up. See The Sends log.
- Create an automation — Appears once the resource is saved. See Automations.
Use the button, the email, or both. A template or booking link works fine behind the button alone. Anything you want in their inbox goes in the email. Current subscribers who sign up again don't get the follow-up email, so if everyone should get the goods, put them behind the button as well.
Email confirmation
Require email confirmation is set per resource. A new resource starts with your workspace's double opt-in setting from Settings → Forms. New workspaces start with double opt-in on. Change the toggle to override it for this resource only.
When it's on:
- New subscribers are asked to confirm by email before they join your list.
- The follow-up email waits until they confirm. The publish popover reminds you: "Follow-up email waits until the subscriber confirms."
- Anyone already on your list, whatever their status, is never asked to confirm again.
Most people who never click the confirmation link never get the follow-up. If the follow-up email is the whole point of the resource, weigh that before you switch confirmation on. Confirmation does filter out bots and typos, though.
Follow-up emails
Attach a post under After signup → Also email them a post and Nashra emails it to each new subscriber. It goes out right after they sign up, or once they confirm if confirmation is on. Use it for:
- Lead magnets — Deliver the guide, checklist, or download you promised
- Course intros — Send the first lesson immediately
- Welcome notes — A personal hello to people from this source
For a follow-up to send:
- The person is new to your list. Current subscribers who sign up again are skipped.
- The post has been opened in the editor at least once. That's when its email version is created.
- Your workspace has a sending address. Add one in Settings → Domains. See Sending domain.
- Your workspace is in good standing. That means within your plan's sending limits, with an active subscription or a payment method on file.
If a follow-up can't go out because of your plan or payment method, the signup is still recorded and the follow-up waits. The workspace owner gets one email saying follow-ups are paused. After you upgrade or add a payment method, everything waiting goes out automatically — nothing to resend by hand. See Plans & Billing.
If you delete the post a resource sends, the After signup panel tells you so and asks you to pick another. Click Dismiss if you meant to have no follow-up. The Library also warns you before you delete a post that a resource uses.
The Sends log
Once people have signed up, Sends in the After signup panel shows how the follow-up is doing, for example "12 delivered · 2 awaiting confirmation · 1 need attention". If something went wrong, a warning names the most common reason, with a See who link.
View log opens Follow-up sends: every subscriber who signed up through this resource, what happened to their email, and when. Filter it to Needs attention to see only the problems.
| Outcome | What it means |
|---|---|
| Delivered | The follow-up email reached them. |
| Awaiting confirmation | Goes out the moment they confirm their email. |
| Already subscribed | They were already on your list, so the follow-up was skipped. |
| No post attached / Post was deleted | There was no post to send when they signed up. People who sign up after you attach one get it. |
| Post not ready | The post has never been opened in the editor. Open it once and it sends from then on. |
| No sending address | Add one in Settings → Domains. |
| Plan limit reached | Your plan limit or payment method blocked the send. It goes out automatically once that's fixed. |
| Held for review | Nashra is reviewing the send. It usually goes out within a few hours. |
| Blocked | This workspace is blocked from sending. Contact support. |
| Failed | The send failed, and we've been notified. |
Publishing and visibility
Every resource is in one of three states:
| Status | Link works | On your Hub |
|---|---|---|
| Published | Yes | Yes — in the Hub's Resources section |
| Unlisted | Yes | No — only people with the link can open it |
| Draft | No — the page is offline and doesn't accept signups | No |
Going live
Publish resource at the end of the stepper opens a popover with two questions:
- Slug — The end of the link, filled in from your headline. Nashra translates non-English headlines into an English slug instead of transliterating them. Edit it yourself (lowercase letters, numbers, and dashes), or click the sparkle icon to regenerate it. The full address shows underneath:
yourname.nashra.website/resources/your-slug, or your custom domain once it's connected. - Visibility — Published or Unlisted.
Publishing is blocked until the resource has a headline and a slug. Hover the button to see which one is missing.
Editing a live resource
Once a resource is live, the top bar changes:
- Update saves your changes from any step, and they go live immediately.
- The status pill next to the name switches between Published and Unlisted instantly. Choose Draft to take the page offline.
- View opens the page, the copy button copies its link, and Analytics opens its numbers.
A live resource's link doesn't change. To change the slug, move the resource to Draft, then publish it again. On a draft, Next saves your edits as you go, and Publish resource takes it live.
From the Library
Each resource's row menu in the Library has View page, Copy link, Status, Duplicate, and Delete. A duplicate starts as a draft with "(Copy)" added to its title. Unlisted resources show an Unlisted badge in the list.
On your Hub
Published resources appear on your Hub automatically, in its Resources section, newest first. Each card shows the resource's image, title, description, and button label. Unlisted and draft resources never appear there. You can hide the whole section from the Hub editor.
Automations
A resource can start an automation — useful when one follow-up email isn't enough, like a five-day course.
- From the resource — In the After signup panel, click Create an automation. The builder opens with the trigger already set to people who subscribe through this resource, and a suggested name: the resource's title followed by "(Automation)". Once an automation exists, the link reads View automation.
- From Automations — Choose the Person subscribes trigger, pick Resource as the source, and select the resource.
If the resource also emails a post, the automation's first email goes out at the same moment. Add a wait before it to space them out. The trigger picker warns you when this applies.
Analytics
Once a resource is live, Analytics in the editor's top bar opens it in Insights, showing Visitors, New subscribers, and Conversion rate (new subscribers ÷ visitors) for the period you choose. Drafts have no Analytics button because they have no visitors.
Compare resources to see which channels actually bring people in.
Tracking pixels
Your workspace's Pixels and tags and Custom code from Settings → Integrations run on resource pages too, as they do on your Hub, posts, and landing pages. An ad pixel sees the resource page you send traffic to. See Analytics & Tracking Codes.
Where to share
- Instagram bio — One-tap subscribe for followers
- X / Twitter — Pin a post or add it to your bio
- LinkedIn — Profile, posts, articles
- YouTube — Video descriptions, channel links
- Email signature — Every email becomes an opportunity
- WhatsApp, Telegram, Discord — Direct sharing in groups and DMs
Create a separate resource for each platform, tag each one differently, and you'll know exactly where every subscriber came from. Or keep one resource per offer and compare channels in Insights.
Language and direction
A resource follows your workspace language from Settings → General → Language, including right-to-left layout for Arabic and other RTL languages. The built-in field labels ("Your first name", "Your email") and the default button text follow that language too. There's no per-resource override, unlike landing pages.
